WildPines AI ("we", "us", "our") operates Wild Companion (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with a third-party provider (Google, Apple), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage metrics such as message counts, feature usage frequency, and subscription status. This helps us improve the App and manage service limits.

Content You Create

Characters, chat messages, stories, and other content you create are stored locally on your device by default. If you use community features (publishing characters), that content is stored on our servers.

Subscription & Payment Data

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not store your credit card or payment details. We receive transaction confirmations and subscription status from the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App
• To manage your account and subscription
• To process AI-generated responses via third-party AI providers
• To enable community features (character sharing, browsing)
• To enforce our Content Policy and Terms of Service
• To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymized usage data

3. AI Processing

When you send messages in the App, your conversation context is sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI) to generate responses. These providers process your messages according to their own privacy policies. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your local content (characters, chats, stories) is stored on your device and is not accessible to us unless you choose to publish it via community features. Community-published content and account data are stored securely on Supabase (cloud infrastructure). We use industry-standard encryption and security practices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• AI Providers — conversation context for generating responses
• Supabase — cloud storage for accounts and community features
• Apple / Google — subscription and payment processing

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Settings)
• Export your local data from the App
• Opt out of community features at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Wild Companion is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child under 17 has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your data from our servers within 30 days. Local data is deleted immediately from your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
